Dr. Sadir Jumaa Alrawi

Dr. Sadir Jumaa Alrawi is a general surgeon and surgical oncologist with 35 years of international experience across Iraq, the UK, the US, and the UAE. He trained with pioneers of surgical oncology in Scotland and England, then spent 18 years in the United States, including 10 years in Florida developing expertise in thyroid, parathyroid, and parotid surgery following his Head & Neck fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and holds fellowship credentials from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh.

Dr. Alrawi's clinical focus spans advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) and open surgery for cancers of the breast, colon, stomach, liver, pancreas, and endocrine glands, as well as complex abdominal and thoracic procedures. He has led major institutional roles: Chair of Surgery and Chief of Surgical Oncology at a governmental hospital in Al-Ain (2013), where he built and accredited the first JCI-certified breast cancer program outside the United States (2015–2020). He later served as CEO of a medical center in Abu Dhabi, where he developed an internationally accredited cancer institute. He has delivered over 150 presentations at professional meetings and published more than 70 peer-reviewed articles and 20 book chapters.
