Dr. Amir Nisar (Professor)

Professor Amir Nisar is a consultant general surgeon with almost 40 years of experience across the United Kingdom, Ireland, Pakistan and the UAE. He is currently practising at Mediclinic Welcare Hospital in Dubai. His core expertise spans gastrointestinal surgery, gall bladder disease, hernia repair, and reflux (GERD) surgery, including management of reflux problems after weight-loss surgery. He also treats anal conditions such as haemorrhoids, fissures and fistulas, as well as benign skin lesions like lipomas and cysts.

Professor Nisar specialises in minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques, particularly his own MiniScarLess (MSL) approach. This keyhole method offers patients minimal post-operative pain, barely visible scars, quick recovery with same-day discharge possible, and early return to work, driving, exercise and flying. He performs gall bladder removal, hernia repair, anti-reflux surgery (Nissen's fundoplication), and appendicectomy using these advanced techniques.
