About Dr. Omima Abdelaziz Ahmed
Dr Omima Ahmed is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 20 years of clinical experience across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE. She began her career in 2001 in Egypt, where she worked in teaching hospitals for nine years before moving to Prince Sultan Military Hospital in Saudi Arabia. She then spent five years in Kuwait and has been practising in the UAE for the last five years, joining Mediclinic Al Ain in 2022.
Dr Ahmed provides comprehensive care throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period, with particular expertise in high-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive gynaecological surgery and ultrasound. She treats a range of gynaecological conditions including polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), fibroids and endometriosis, and offers family planning, contraception advice and infertility counselling.
She is a well-qualified doctor holding the Arab Board and Egyptian Board in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, a Master's degree in the specialty, and memberships of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the UK.
