Dr. Aiman Quateen

Dr. Aiman Quateen is a consultant in the neuroscience institute and chair of the interventional neuroradiology division at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi. With more than 16 years of experience, he has developed deep expertise in interventional neuroradiology and vascular intervention. He trained at leading Canadian institutions including Dalhousie University and the University of Ottawa, where he served as an Assistant Professor before joining SSMC.

Dr. Quateen specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions using advanced clinical imaging and minimally invasive vascular procedures. His practice focuses on interventional neuroradiology, diagnostic radiology, and interventional vascular radiology. He is a keen educator and has published several research papers throughout his career.

He holds Canadian Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology and fellowship status with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, along with three specialized fellowships in interventional vascular radiology, interventional neuroradiology, and neuroradiology. He is an active member of stroke and neurointervention organizations and is well-suited for patients requiring complex imaging-guided vascular procedures or specialized neuroradiological diagnosis.
