Dr. Merin Eapen

Dr. Merin Eapen is a Specialist Pediatric Neurologist with over 8 years of experience in general pediatrics and pediatric neurology, trained in India. She completed her medical degree and internship at Calicut Medical College (2005–2011), her MD in Pediatrics at Kerala Government Medical College, Alleppey (2012–2016), and her DM (higher specialty qualification) in Pediatric Neurology at Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram (2019–2023). She now practices at LLH Hospital in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Eapen's clinical expertise spans the full range of childhood neurological conditions. She interprets brain-wave tests (EEG), nerve-conduction studies (NCS), and electromyography (EMG), and administers botulinum toxin therapy for movement disorders. She evaluates and treats children with all forms of epilepsy—including self-limiting seizure disorders, genetic epilepsies, and hard-to-control epilepsies. She performs developmental assessments for infants and young children to detect delays early, and collaborates with occupational therapists and speech therapists to support children with autism. She also provides behavioral and cognitive-behavioral therapy for children with ADHD alongside clinical psychologists, manages rehabilitation for cerebral palsy and progressive neurological diseases, and offers cognitive assessment for intellectually disabled children and those with learning difficulties.

Dr. Eapen is passionate about teaching and was faculty in the Department of Pediatric Neurology at Government Medical Colleges in India, training medical residents and leading workshops at state and national conferences. She has published research in peer-reviewed journals and has received recognition including the AOCN Award (2021) and the NESSAN Award (2022) for her contributions to pediatric neurology.
