Dr. Mohamed Shaaban Mousa

Dr. Mohamed Shaaban Mousa is an Associate Professor and Consultant Pulmonologist at NMC Specialty Hospital in Dubai, with 13 years of clinical and academic experience. He trained at Cairo University's Faculty of Medicine, one of the region's leading medical institutions, where he completed his residency, Master's degree, and MD in Pulmonary Medicine. He also holds the European Diploma of Adult Respiratory Medicine and is an ERS HERMES diplomate.

Dr. Mousa specializes in advanced respiratory care and interventional pulmonology. He performs flexible bronchoscopy, medical thoracoscopy, and ultrasound-guided pleural procedures to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the lungs and chest cavity. His expertise includes managing asthma, COPD, pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung diseases (scarring and inflammation of lung tissue), sleep apnea, and respiratory infections. He also has extensive experience in critical care medicine, treating patients with respiratory failure in intensive-care settings.

Fluent in English and Arabic, Dr. Mousa is an active researcher and educator. He has 11 international publications and teaches medical students at Cairo University.
