Dr. Yolande-Leigh Iyer

Dr. Yolande-Leigh Iyer is a Consultant in Family Medicine at Mediclinic with training across three continents. She completed her Master of Science at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, then pursued her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne from 2011 to 2014. She went on to complete specialist training in Family Medicine through the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) fellowship programme from 2016 to 2019.

During her training, Dr. Iyer gained broad clinical experience across general medicine, rehabilitation, colorectal surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, and paediatric emergency care. Before relocating to Dubai in 2020, she spent five years working in community-focused family medicine across Melbourne, the Gold Coast and regional towns in Australia, in both hospital and general practice settings. Her clinical interests centre on managing chronic diseases, women's health, and preventative medicine.
