Dr. Yazan Aljabery

Dr. Yazan Aljabery is an Associate Staff Physician in the Cardiac Surgery Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute. He trained in cardiac surgery at University Hospital Bergmannsheil in Germany, where he also worked as a specialist in adult cardiac surgery before relocating to Abu Dhabi. He holds his medical degree from the University of Jordan and completed additional general surgery training in Germany.

Dr. Aljabery has completed over 400 heart and lung procedures and specialises in adult cardiac surgery. His clinical focus includes coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease (including valve repair and replacement), congenital heart defects, thoracic aortic conditions, and heart failure surgery. He is German board certified in cardiac surgery and brings 15 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Aljabery has a strong commitment to training the next generation of surgeons. He was elected residents' speaker for four consecutive years and regularly lectures and trains medical students and junior residents. He is well suited for patients requiring complex adult cardiac procedures, valve disease management, or those seeking a surgeon with extensive training and mentoring experience.
