Dr. Laila Hussein

Dr. Laila Hussein is a Staff Physician in the Emergency Medicine Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Hospital Care Institute. With 12 years of clinical experience, she is board certified by the Arab Board in Emergency Medicine and holds a Master's degree in Medical Ultrasound from Teesside University in the UK. She trained at leading institutions including Rashid Hospital in Dubai, where she completed her emergency medicine residency.

Dr. Hussein specializes in managing complex time-sensitive emergencies across critical care, cardiac events, and trauma situations. She is skilled in emergency ultrasound and uses point-of-care imaging to guide rapid diagnosis and treatment. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic, she served as a Consultant Physician at Sheikh Shakbout Medical City and as a Specialist at Mafraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi, where she also directed the emergency medicine residency program and ultrasound education.

She is an active speaker at national and international conferences, has published work on critical care and ultrasound, and contributed to a book chapter in her field.
