About Dr. Kumarabhavanam Gopinathan Sivaji
Dr. Kumarabhavanam Gopinathan Sivaji is an ENT and head and neck surgeon with 37 years of clinical experience, including 25 years practising in the UAE at major tertiary care hospitals. He started his career as an ENT specialist in 1985 and held academic posts as lecturer and assistant professor at government medical colleges in India before relocating to the Middle East. He also served six years as Professor and Head of ENT at a university in Ajman.
His practice centres on microscopic and minimally invasive procedures of the ear, throat and sinuses. He performs diagnostic nasal endoscopy and laryngoscopy routinely, and specialises in endoscopic sinus surgery, microlaryngeal procedures, and skull-base surgery. In paediatric ENT, he has particular expertise in adenoid and tonsil removal, grommet (ear tube) insertion, and removal of foreign bodies from the throat and airways—including complex cases with difficult breathing.
