Dr. Mohamed Soliman

Dr. Mohamed Soliman is a Consultant Neonatologist and Head of Neonatal Services at Al Zahra Hospital, bringing over two decades of experience in neonatal and paediatric critical care. He trained at Cairo University, where he earned his medical degree (MBBCh), Masters, and Medical Doctorate in Paediatrics. He holds Fellowship (FRCPCH) and Membership (MRCPCH) credentials from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in the UK, and is certified by the European Board in Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care. He also holds an MBA in healthcare management.

Dr. Soliman specializes in the care of extremely premature and extremely low birthweight infants across all levels of neonatal intensive care (Levels I, II, and III). His clinical expertise spans advanced resuscitation, gentle lung-protective ventilation techniques (both invasive and non-invasive), therapeutic cooling to protect the brain after birth complications, and nutritional optimization for vulnerable newborns. He is recognized as a leading expert in bedside ultrasound for neonatal care, including head, heart, and lung imaging, and serves as a certified instructor with the Society of Critical Care Medicine (USA) in paediatric and neonatal point-of-care ultrasound.

As Head of Neonatal Services, Dr. Soliman leads a multidisciplinary team committed to family-centered, holistic care. He is actively engaged in international scientific forums and professional training, reflecting his dedication to advancing neonatal care and mentoring the next generation of clinicians.
