Dr. Goran Bicanic

Dr. Goran Bicanic is an orthopedic surgeon with over 16 years of clinical experience. He completed his medical degree and PhD in biomedicine at the University of Zagreb, Croatia, followed by specialized fellowships in Germany, Canada, and Austria, including advanced training in knee replacement and trauma surgery. He has worked at several leading hospitals across the UAE before joining Emirates Hospitals Group in Dubai.

Dr. Bicanic treats a wide range of orthopedic conditions across all age groups, from pediatric flat feet and fractures to complex knee and hip replacements in adults. He performs both minimally invasive arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery and open procedures, and also offers conservative (non-surgical) treatments and physiotherapy support. His expertise spans sports injuries, trauma, and fractures, with experience managing both surgical and non-surgical pathways.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Bicanic is active in research and regularly publishes in orthopedic literature. He is a fellow and representative of several European and international orthopedic societies and mentors students and younger colleagues in the field.
