Prof. Mohamed Ellaithy

Prof. Mohamed Ellaithy is a clinical professor of obstetrics and gynaecology with over 20 years of experience across Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. He has been affiliated with Ain Shams University Maternity Hospital in Cairo since 2000, one of the largest university maternity hospitals in the region. He subsequently worked as a consultant and Saudi Board training programme director at King Faisal Maternity Hospital in Saudi Arabia from 2010 to 2018, before moving to Abu Dhabi where he served as head of department at Alsalama Hospital prior to joining Mediclinic.

Prof. Ellaithy offers comprehensive care across obstetrics and gynaecology, with particular expertise in managing complex pregnancies, delivery complications, infertility and minimally invasive surgery. He manages everything from preconception counselling through to postpartum care, including high-risk caesarean sections, vaginal birth after caesarean, management of major obstetric bleeding, recurrent miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy. His surgical skills span laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and vaginal approaches for conditions including endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, pelvic prolapse and female incontinence. He has published 35 international papers with over 300 citations.

He brings specialist training in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery from European institutions and a master's qualification in reproductive medicine and in-vitro fertilisation from the UK.
