Dr. Khaled Awad

Dr. Khaled Awad is an interventional cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiology consultant with over 20 years of experience in leading European and Middle Eastern hospitals. He holds three board certifications simultaneously—German and European Board of Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Heart Device Therapy—a distinction held by very few cardiologists. He trained at top-ranked centres including Schuechtermann Clinic Heart Center (ranked 5th in Germany) and completed a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Cardiac Arrhythmia Management at Maastricht University through the European Heart Rhythm Association and European Society of Cardiology.

Dr. Awad specializes in complex interventional procedures and rhythm management. He performs all types of ablations for irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias) using near-zero fluoroscopy techniques, implants pacemakers and defibrillators, and manages advanced heart failure with device therapies including cardiac resynchronization. He is at the forefront of newer technologies, assisting with physiologic pacemaker implantation via the left bundle branch—a technique available in only a few centres worldwide. He also performs vascular ultrasound and duplex imaging of the neck, arms, and legs.

Dr. Awad is well published and serves as a peer reviewer for international and German medical journals. He is a professional member of the German Cardiac Society, European Society of Cardiology, and European Heart Rhythm Association. He is patient-focused and institution-oriented, with fluency in Arabic, English, German, Russian, and French.
