Dr. Prathapakumar T Raghavan

Dr. Prathapakumar Raghavan is a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine with 22 years of clinical experience. He trained in Internal Medicine and then specialised in Rehabilitation Medicine at Leeds, UK, where he spent 2.5 years leading rehabilitation services for patients with neurological conditions. He later worked in Canada as Medical Director of inpatient rehabilitation services, where he helped establish one of the region's first comprehensive stroke centres and contributed to provincial stroke collaborative efforts.

Dr. Raghavan moved to Al Ain in 2017, becoming the first rehabilitation medicine physician at Tawam Hospital. He is now Physician Lead and Acting Medical Director at STMC Rehabilitation Hospital and extends his services across Tawam and Al Ain Hospitals. He specialises in treating stroke and neurological recovery, balance and vestibular disorders, heart disease rehabilitation, and musculoskeletal conditions. He has been instrumental in developing specialised rehabilitation programs for cardiac patients and other conditions across the Al Ain region.
