Dr. Hiba Ahmed

Dr. Hiba Ahmed is a specialist paediatric surgeon at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi. She has over a decade of experience across a wide range of paediatric surgery, from routine procedures to paediatric emergencies and delicate neonatal cases. She trained in Sudan and worked in Saudi Arabia before joining SSMC, building expertise in both general paediatric surgery and neonatal emergencies.

Dr. Ahmed treats conditions including hernias, undescended testes, neonatal intestinal obstruction, trauma, intussusception (where the bowel telescopes on itself), intestinal malrotation, and performs gastrostomies (feeding tube placement). She is trained in emergency paediatric care, including the CCrISP (Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient) course, which prepares surgeons to manage children who are unwell or at risk.
