Dr. Nasir Alzbeidi

Dr. Nasir Alzbeidi is an Emirati psychiatrist with 12 years of clinical experience, trained in general adult psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, and cognitive neurology. He completed specialist training in geriatric psychiatry at the University of British Columbia and advanced training in cognitive neurology and neuropsychiatry at McGill University and the Montreal Neurological Institute, both in Canada. He currently serves as chair of the mental health council at Abu Dhabi Healthcare Company (SEHA) and is clinical lead of Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City's Memory Clinic.

Dr. Alzbeidi treats a broad range of mental health conditions in older adults and younger populations, with particular expertise in dementia, mood disorders such as depression, anxiety disorders, and neurocognitive decline. He works across multiple settings—outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, and home-based programmes—developing personalized treatment plans using evidence-based approaches. His clinical focus on early diagnosis and management of neurodegenerative diseases reflects his commitment to improving outcomes through timely intervention.

Dr. Alzbeidi is a faculty member in the Psychiatry Residency Programme at Sakina and is passionate about reducing stigma around dementia and advancing mental health education through research and collaboration.
