Dr. Imad Hashim (ID*)

Dr. Imad Hashim Ahmad is a neurosurgeon with over 45 years of clinical experience, having trained at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh where he earned his specialist qualifications in neurosurgery in 1986. He completed his initial medical degree at Mosul Medical College in Iraq in 1977 and obtained his primary and final FRCS examinations in Edinburgh in 1979 and 1982 respectively. He currently practises at Mediclinic and holds the position of assistant professor of neurosurgery at Dubai Medical College.

Dr. Hashim's clinical expertise spans degenerative spine conditions affecting both the neck and lower back, traumatic spine injuries, and brain tumours in both children and adults. He treats low back pain and neck pain using surgical approaches tailored to each patient's condition, with particular focus on minimally invasive degenerative spine surgery techniques.

His professional standing in the region is evidenced by his previous presidency of the Emirates Neuroscience Society. He currently serves as an education advisor for AO Spine Middle East and as a reviewing editor for the Pan Arab Journal of Neurosurgery and Global Spine Journal, reflecting his commitment to advancing neurosurgical practice and education.
