Dr. Lorena Iaut

Dr. Lorena Iaut is a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Medcare Medical Centre's Motor City and Meadows branches, bringing 18 years of clinical experience in women's health. She completed her MBBS and MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Carol Davila University in Bucharest, Romania, where she also trained in obstetric ultrasound. She subsequently pursued subspecialty training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine through the Romanian Ministry of Health. Her career began with over a decade at Medicover, a leading international healthcare provider in South East Europe, before relocating to the UAE where she has worked at Zulekha Hospital, Dr Nicolas & Asp, and Mediclinic.

Dr. Iaut's clinical expertise spans maternal-fetal medicine, fetal imaging including early anomaly scans and fetal echocardiography, and the management of high-risk pregnancies. She is skilled in all modes of delivery—vaginal, instrumental, water birth, and caesarean section—as well as the management of recurrent miscarriage, infertility, and endocrine disorders including PCOS. She also treats cervical dysplasia, abnormal uterine bleeding, and menopause-related conditions. Her surgical toolkit includes colposcopy, LLETZ, hysteroscopy, and laparoscopy.

Dr. Iaut is particularly interested in cervical and breast cancer prevention. She is a member of the European Board and College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Medicina Fetal Barcelona, and the Romanian Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
