Dr. Nada Hassan

Dr. Nada Hassan is a consultant rheumatologist with extensive training across Sudan, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. She completed her undergraduate medical education at the University of Khartoum, Sudan, followed by postgraduate training in nephrology before moving to Ireland for further specialist experience. She then trained in the UK, completing a combined 33-month general medicine and rheumatology programme followed by 2 years of pure rheumatology, obtaining her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in February 2011.

Dr. Nada specializes in the diagnosis and management of early inflammatory arthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, giant cell arteritis, Sjögren syndrome, and autoimmune myositis. She has particular expertise in musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnosing inflammatory arthritis and guiding joint injections. She is also skilled in performing salivary gland and muscle biopsies independently. She contributed as a third author to the British Society of Rheumatology treatment guidelines for polymyalgia rheumatica and giant cell arteritis.

Dr. Nada has conducted research at St. James's Hospital Dublin and Southend University Hospital as part of her specialist training. She is fluent in both English and Arabic, making her accessible to a diverse patient population.
