Dr. Fairooz P M

Dr. Fairooz PM is a specialist oculoplastic surgeon at Medcare Hospital in Sharjah with 14 years of experience. She completed her medical degree at Trichur Medical College in India, followed by a master's in ophthalmic surgery from Mysore Medical College. Her advanced training includes fellowships in oculoplasty, orbital surgery, and eye oncology from prestigious institutions: L V Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad, Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, and Shiley Eye Institute in San Diego. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is currently pursuing a PhD in uveal melanoma research.

Dr. Fairooz specializes in managing eye cancers including retinoblastoma (eye cancer in children), uveal melanoma, and orbital tumours. She performs complex orbital surgeries, orbital decompression, fracture repair, eye socket reconstruction, eyelid and eye deformity correction, and facial trauma surgery. She also fits prosthetic eyes and offers both functional and cosmetic facial and periocular plastic surgery for birth defects and acquired conditions in children and adults.

Throughout her career, she has held leadership roles at major eye centers in India and China, founded HORUS Specialty Eye Care in Bangalore, and remains involved with international charitable surgical organizations. She is recognized as one of the Top 100 Women Ophthalmologists in the world and brings an empathetic, research-driven approach to patient care, combining clinical expertise with academic curiosity.
