Dr. Jumaa Salem Aldhaheri

Dr Jumaa Salem Aldhaheri is a US-trained interventional cardiologist with over 25 years of clinical experience. He obtained his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University and completed advanced fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at University Hospitals of Cleveland. Board-certified in internal medicine, he has performed more than 6,000 cardiac procedures and is recognised internationally as a pioneer in cardiovascular care.

Dr Aldhaheri specialises in both general cardiology—evaluating and managing heart conditions through medications and lifestyle changes—and interventional procedures. His expertise includes complex coronary interventions, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), carotid stenting, and advanced imaging techniques such as optical coherence tomography (OCT) and fractional flow reserve (FFR) assessment. He was the first to introduce TAVR at Abu Dhabi's Zayed Military Hospital, achieving excellent results with low complication rates. He treats hypertension, high cholesterol, chest pain, heart failure, irregular heartbeats, valve disease, and congenital heart conditions.

As Chair of the Division of Medicine and Senior Lead Interventional Cardiologist at Zayed Military Hospital, Dr Aldhaheri has led the adoption of advanced technologies and streamlined care pathways.
