Dr. Peter Baptista Jardin

Dr. Peter Baptista Jardin is a Consultant ENT Surgeon at Al Zahra Hospital in Dubai with over 30 years of clinical experience. He trained at Universidad Central de Venezuela for his medical degree and completed his specialist training in ENT and Head & Neck Surgery in Spain, where he also earned his doctorate. He is European Board Certified in Otorhinolaryngology and recognized as a Sleep Specialist by both the Spanish Sleep Society and the European Sleep Research Society.

Dr. Baptista specializes in rhinology (nasal conditions), sleep surgery, and endoscopic sinus surgery—minimally invasive procedures performed through the nose. He also performs anterior skull base surgery (complex procedures near the base of the skull, often in partnership with neurosurgeons), transoral robotic surgery (robotic-assisted procedures inside the throat), and hypoglossal nerve stimulation (a technique to treat sleep apnea by stimulating a nerve that controls airway muscles). He performs around 400 complex procedures annually and has published over 100 scientific papers in his field. He was among the first surgeons in Spain to perform robotic transoral surgery and has performed the only series of hypoglossal nerve stimulation procedures in the country.

Dr. Baptista is fluent in English and Spanish and serves as Chairman of international training courses on sleep apnea surgery. He is an active member of leading medical societies including the American Academy of Otolaryngology and holds both Venezuelan and Spanish nationality.
