Dr. Anil Bansal

Dr. Anil Bansal is an interventional cardiologist with over 35 years of experience across the United States, India, and the UAE. He graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi in 1982, completed his cardiology and interventional cardiology training at William Beaumont Hospital (University of Michigan) in 1989, and undertook specialized fellowship training in peripheral vascular interventions at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He served as Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Interventional Cardiology at East Carolina School of Medicine, University of North Carolina.

Dr. Bansal has performed over 20,000 coronary and peripheral intervention cases, including participation in a phase-3 FDA trial for stent grafts and peripheral devices. He is proficient in permanent pacemaker, ICD (implantable cardioverter-defibrillator), and CRT (cardiac resynchronization therapy) implantations. He also specializes in transeptal catheterization—a catheter-based technique for accessing the left heart—and mitral and aortic valve balloon dilation procedures. His particular expertise includes peripheral vascular disease management.

Dr. Bansal is certified by the American Board in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Nuclear Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology, and holds certification for pacing and electrophysiology from the North American Society. He is an excellent fit for patients requiring complex coronary interventions, valve procedures, or pacemaker and defibrillator implants.
