Dr. Marouane Bouloudhnine

Dr. Marouane Bouloudhnine is a French senior orthopedic surgeon with over 26 years of international experience across Europe, the USA, and the Middle East. He trained in orthopedic surgery at Montpellier Medical School in France, completing his qualification in 1999, and went on to pursue advanced upper limb surgery training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, USA. Dr. Bouloudhnine has performed more than 11,000 surgeries throughout his career and is now based at Emirates Hospitals Group in Dubai.

He specializes in complex upper limb conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. His approach combines open surgery, arthroscopic (keyhole) techniques, microsurgery for nerve and tendon repairs, and minimally invasive methods. He treats a wide range of problems including carpal tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff tears, shoulder dislocations, elbow instability, nerve injuries, tendon damage, bone fractures, and joint replacements of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and thumb.

Dr. Bouloudhnine founded multiple hand-and-shoulder centers in France and established Dubai's first private hand-and-shoulder unit in 2022. He is an adjunct clinical assistant professor at the University of Sharjah, a regular speaker at major regional and international conferences, and founder of the Arab Elbow Course Concept launched in Dubai in 2025. His expertise and contributions have been recognized with awards including the French Legion of Honour (2011), Sports Medicine Doctor of the Year in Tunisia (2019), and Best Orthopedic Surgeon of the Year in the UAE (2023).
