Dr. Anas Abu Hazeem

Dr. Anas Abu Hazeem is a consultant paediatric cardiologist at NMC Healthcare in Abu Dhabi with 17 years of experience diagnosing and treating heart conditions in children. He completed his paediatric residency at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, where he served as chief resident, and went on to complete fellowships in paediatric cardiology at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and in interventional paediatric cardiology at the University of Colorado and Children's Hospital of Colorado. He holds American Board certification in both paediatrics and paediatric cardiology.

Dr. Abu Hazeem specializes in the full range of paediatric heart conditions, including congenital heart disease (structural problems present at birth), acquired heart disease, irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias), cardiomyopathies (muscle weakness of the heart), heart murmurs, and high blood pressure. He has advanced training in paediatric interventional cardiology, allowing him to perform catheter-based procedures for certain conditions. He evaluates patients presenting with chest pain, fainting episodes, heart palpitations, and cyanosis (bluish discoloration from low blood oxygen).

Prior to joining NMC Healthcare, Dr. Abu Hazeem served as an assistant professor at Jordan University of Science and Technology and as a paediatric cardiology consultant at King Faisal Specialty Hospital in Riyadh.
