Dr. Hatim Hamad

Dr. Hatim Hamad is an orthopedic surgeon with more than 17 years of surgical experience, bringing deep expertise in hand and wrist disorders, complex bone and joint injuries, and trauma management. He trained at the Sudan Medical Specialization Board for his clinical MD in orthopedics, followed by fellowship training in hand and wrist surgery at Younsei University in Seoul, South Korea, and a second fellowship in wrist and elbow surgery at LRI University Hospital in the UK.

Dr. Hamad treats a wide range of conditions affecting the hand, wrist and elbow, including painful degenerative joint disease, fractures, dislocations, tendon and nerve injuries, and sports-related damage. He performs both surgical procedures—such as arthroscopy (keyhole surgery) and joint replacement—and conservative (non-surgical) management depending on what each patient needs. He has particular experience managing complex fractures in adults and pediatric injuries in children.

He holds fellowship status with the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, and is a certified medical educator with a master's degree in health professions education. As an associate professor of orthopedics at the Islamic University in Sudan, he has authored numerous published research papers and clinical audits, and regularly participates in international orthopedic conferences.
