Dr. Ahmad Raza

Dr. Ahmad Raza is a Staff Physician in the Medical Oncology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Cancer Institute, bringing 22 years of clinical experience. He trained at leading US institutions, completing his medical degree at Nishtar Medical College in Pakistan, an internal medicine residency at St Barnabas Hospital (Cornell University), and a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the University of Minnesota. He also holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.

Throughout his career, Dr. Raza has managed a broad range of solid tumors and blood cancers in both academic and community settings. At Columbia University, where he served as Assistant Professor, he established a lung cancer screening program and built a clinical trial program. At the University of Minnesota, he led multiple community cancer care sites and chaired the transfusion committee at NewYork Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. His research has focused on developing new cancer treatments with reduced side effects, resulting in publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Raza is known for his commitment to clinical research and education—he has mentored medical students, taught blood pathophysiology at the University of Minnesota Medical School, and guided residents and fellows. Patients have repeatedly nominated him for the Fairview Foundation 'Champion of Care' award, and he was recognized among the best doctors in Westchester County, New York.
