Dr. Derrick Moore

Dr. Derrick Moore is Vice Chairman and Director of the Emergency Room at American Hospital Dubai, where he leads the emergency department and oversees trauma and acute medical care. He holds an MD from the University of Alberta, Canada, and postgraduate qualifications in emergency medicine (CCFP-EM) also from Canada, plus a Diploma in Tropical Medicine from the Gorgas Institute in Peru. With extensive experience across Canada, the UAE, China, and other regions, he has developed expertise in high-acuity emergency situations.

Dr. Moore specializes in advanced cardiac life support, resuscitation, and trauma management including fractures and soft tissue injuries, as well as acute medical emergencies and pediatric cases. He is licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia and holds membership with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. His career includes emergency physician roles at major hospitals in Canada and the UAE, plus volunteer work with Médecins Sans Frontières in Afghanistan.

He is well suited for patients presenting with life-threatening conditions, severe injuries, or acute medical crises requiring immediate specialist assessment and intervention.
