Dr. Walid Kaplan

Dr. Walid Kaplan is a pediatric endocrinologist with over 30 years of clinical experience, including 15 years practicing in the USA and 18 years in the UAE. He completed his medical degree at Damascus University and pursued specialized training in the United States, finishing his pediatric residency at Michigan State University and a pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Kaplan treats a wide range of hormone-related disorders in children and adolescents, including diabetes from infancy through the teenage years, growth problems (both short stature and excessive height), thyroid conditions such as hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, and thyroid cancer, adrenal gland diseases, bone metabolism disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome, cholesterol and lipid problems, and pituitary gland disorders.

With extensive administrative and teaching experience alongside his clinical work, Dr. Kaplan brings both depth of knowledge and mentoring ability to patient care at American Hospital Dubai.
