Dr. Deepa Sankar

Dr. Deepa Sankar is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 12 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She holds a PhD and MPhil in Clinical Psychology from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) in Bangalore, India, one of the country's leading mental health institutions. Before joining NMC Healthcare in Dubai, she worked as a clinical psychologist at NIMHANS, where she developed expertise in psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions. She is registered with the Dubai Health Authority and the Rehabilitation Council of India.

Dr. Sankar offers a wide range of evidence-based psychological services. She conducts comprehensive assessments for developmental disorders, autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, and intelligence testing, as well as neuropsychological evaluations. In therapy, she specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety and depression, including social anxiety, health anxiety, and panic attacks. She also provides family and couples counseling, premarital compatibility assessments, parenting skills training, and support for issues like divorce adjustment, behavioral problems in children, and adult ADHD.
