Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Helmy

Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Helmy is a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at Zulekha Hospital in Dubai and Sharjah with over 30 years of clinical experience. He trained in France at AFSA Jean Monnet St. Etienne and held senior positions in Egypt, including Professor of Cardiac Surgery at Cairo University's Kasr Al Ainy Hospital, as well as consultant roles at Nasser Institute Hospital, Dar Al Fouad Hospital, and Sohag Centre of Cardiac Surgery.

Dr. Helmy specialises in adult cardiac surgery, coronary artery bypass grafting (both on-pump and off-pump techniques), arterial revascularisation, aortic root and aneurysm surgery, and valve repair and replacement. He is experienced in minimally invasive cardiac surgery approaches and has published extensively on mitral valve surgery, aortic procedures, and complex valve conditions. He is a member of the European Society of Cardiothoracic Surgeons and serves as reviewer and co-editor for the Egyptian Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Dr. Helmy is Egyptian and fluent in English, Arabic, and French, allowing him to care for diverse patient populations. His approach combines advanced surgical techniques with a commitment to advancing cardiac surgery through research and academic collaboration.
