Dr. Zaid AlRawi

Dr. Zaid Alrawi is a Swedish board-certified consultant rheumatologist with over 20 years' experience, now practising in Dubai. He trained at leading Swedish institutions including Lund University Hospital and Blekinge Hospital, and has worked in both Sweden and the UAE.

Dr. Alrawi treats a wide range of rheumatic conditions affecting joints and connective tissues. His main areas of expertise include inflammatory arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis), crystal-related joint disease (gout), and autoimmune connective tissue diseases such as lupus, Sjögren's syndrome, scleroderma, polymyositis, and vasculitis. He has extensive experience prescribing biologic therapies for autoimmune arthritis and is skilled in musculoskeletal ultrasound to diagnose and guide treatment. He also performs therapeutic joint injections and ultrasound-guided interventions.

Dr. Alrawi has a special focus on osteoporosis prevention and management. Beyond clinical practice, he has been involved in research, medical teaching, and training resident physicians. He also served as an aeromedical rheumatology examiner for Emirates airline.
