Dr. Moussab Damlaj

Dr. Moussab Damlaj is an adult haematology consultant at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, with over 14 years of clinical experience. He completed his internal medicine residency at Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Canada, where he served as chief medical resident, followed by specialist training in haematology at McGill University Health Centre and bone marrow transplantation fellowship at Mayo Clinic Rochester. He holds board certification from both the American and Canadian boards in haematology and internal medicine, and is an adjunct clinical professor of medicine at Khalifa University.

Dr. Damlaj specialises in treating blood cancers including leukaemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma, as well as inherited blood disorders like sickle cell disease and thalassemia. He has particular expertise in bone marrow transplantation and managing complications such as graft-versus-host disease. He is an active member of international research committees including the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research, where he participates in the Acute Leukemia and Graft-versus-Host Disease working groups.

His involvement in the American Society of Hematology Guideline Panel on relapsed and refractory acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in adolescents and young adults reflects his commitment to advancing treatment standards and improving patient outcomes across the haematology field.
