Dr. Maliha Jaffar

Dr Maliha Jaffar is a specialist general surgeon with deep expertise in pelvic floor surgeries and minimally invasive techniques. She holds fellowship credentials from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan and the American College of Surgeons, and is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She completed university diploma training in laparoscopic surgery from Strasbourg, France, and has worked in both Pakistan and the UAE.

Dr Jaffar specialises in treating conditions affecting the anus, rectum and pelvic floor using the latest keyhole and minimally invasive approaches. She manages haemorrhoids (piles), anal fissures, anal fistulas, rectal prolapse, chronic constipation, chronic pelvic and anal pain, and fecal incontinence. She performs advanced techniques including VAAFT (video-assisted anal fistula treatment) and EPSIT for complex fistulas and pilonidal sinus disease. She also handles emergency and routine laparoscopic surgery for benign conditions.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr Jaffar is an Adjunct Clinical Lecturer in General Surgery at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, actively training medical students and junior doctors. She regularly presents her clinical experience at conferences and maintains an active research portfolio with publications in peer-reviewed journals. She works closely with physiotherapy teams to provide comprehensive care for patients with pelvic floor disorders.
