Dr. Loai Eid

Dr. Loai Eid is a consultant paediatric nephrologist at Medcare Women & Children Hospital with over two decades of experience in kidney care for infants, children and adolescents. He trained in paediatrics at Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York and completed specialist nephrology fellowship at Children's National Medical Center in Washington D.C. He holds qualifications from the University of Baghdad and George Washington University, and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Paediatric Nephrology.

Dr. Eid has broad expertise in managing acute and chronic kidney disease, nephrotic syndrome, glomerulonephritis, high blood pressure in children, and genetic kidney disorders. He is experienced in all forms of renal replacement therapy (dialysis and similar treatments), kidney transplantation in children, and therapeutic plasma exchange. He also manages electrolyte disorders, bone disease (rickets) related to kidney problems, urinary tract infections, bedwetting, bladder disorders and kidney stones in the paediatric population, and integrates expertise in paediatric urology with nephrology.

Dr. Eid is head of the Emirates Paediatric Nephrology group and serves as the UAE representative to the Asian Society of Paediatric Nephrology. He has held leadership roles including chief consultant positions at major UAE hospitals and adjunct professorships in medical education. He remains active in clinical research and has published in international medical journals.
