Dr. Chitra Gopalakrishnan

Dr. Chitra Gopalakrishnan is a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Aster Hospital Qusais in Dubai, with over 12 years of clinical experience. She trained in India at Government Medical College, Mysore, and Fr. Muller Medical College, Mangalore, completing her Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Diplomate of National Board qualification. She holds advanced fellowships in obstetric ultrasound and laparoscopic gynaecological surgery, and previously worked as a consultant at Upasana Hospital in India.

Dr. Chitra manages the full range of obstetric care, from routine antenatal monitoring and normal vaginal delivery to high-risk pregnancies complicated by diabetes, high blood pressure, or recurrent miscarriage. She performs caesarean sections, instrumental deliveries, and specialises in keyhole (laparoscopic) gynaecological surgery for fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and ectopic pregnancy. She is also skilled in hysteroscopic procedures and vaginal reconstructive surgery, with a particular focus on fertility-preserving techniques.

Known for her patient-centred and evidence-based approach, Dr. Chitra is committed to comprehensive women's health across all life stages. She offers counselling on contraception, family planning, and menopausal health, and provides preventive wellness support.
