Dr. Mona Azmy Zakariya Hassan

Dr. Mona Hassan is a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Medcare Hospital, Sharjah, with over 25 years of clinical experience in women's healthcare. She trained at Ain Shams University in Egypt, where she completed her medical degree and specialist qualification in obstetrics and gynaecology. She has worked across multiple healthcare systems in Egypt and the UAE, building expertise in complex pregnancy care, fertility management and advanced surgical techniques.

Dr. Hassan manages the full range of obstetric and gynaecological conditions. She delivers all types of pregnancies—normal, operative vaginal delivery and Caesarean sections (both emergency and planned)—and has particular expertise in high-risk pregnancies. She performs keyhole surgery (laparoscopy and hysteroscopy), obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound, and is highly experienced in infertility treatment and IVF. She also treats menstrual disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), fibroids, ovarian cysts, and provides family planning and contraception advice, breastfeeding support, and cosmetic gynaecological procedures.

Dr. Hassan is committed to evidence-based, patient-centred care. She holds multiple international qualifications including fellowship of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FACOG), examiner status with the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, and certification as a lactation consultant. She teaches at the University of Sharjah and is fluent in Arabic and English.
