Dr. Haytham Salti

Dr. Haytham Salti is a Staff Physician in the Ophthalmology Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's Integrated Surgical Institute. He brings 29 years of clinical experience, having trained at the American University of Beirut and completed advanced fellowships in vitreo-retinal and medical retina surgery at the University of Virginia and Harvard University. Before joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi in 2022, he spent nearly two decades as a faculty member and section head of retina at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, where he also coordinated medical education.

Dr. Salti specializes in treating retinal conditions, particularly diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal vein occlusions. He has pioneered the use of intravitreal injections at his previous institution since 2004, and has completed more than 5,000 of these procedures, along with over 1,000 cataract surgeries and 1,500 laser procedures. His expertise spans both surgical and laser-based treatments, including vitreo-retinal procedures and advanced retinal care.

Dr. Salti is well-suited for patients with complex retinal disease who need specialized care from an experienced physician trained in both medical and surgical retina management, particularly those with diabetes-related eye complications.
