Dr. Samy Gouda

Dr. Samy Gouda is a consultant neurosurgeon with three decades of clinical experience across the Middle East and Europe. He graduated from Alexandria University in Egypt with honours and trained in Germany at Horst Schmidt-Kliniken in Wiesbaden, with additional training in the USA. His career has spanned leading institutions including King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center in Saudi Arabia, International Hospital and Al Hilal Premier Hospital in Bahrain, and Seha Emirates Hospital before joining NMC Royal Hospital in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Gouda treats a wide range of neurological and neurosurgical conditions affecting both adults and children. His expertise includes spine surgery for disc disease, brain tumour removal, epilepsy surgery, skull-base procedures, and endoscopic brain surgery. He also manages head and spinal cord injuries, brain bleeding, and paediatric conditions such as hydrocephalus and spinal deformities. Common presentations he sees include headaches, neck and back pain, nerve compression symptoms, weakness, balance problems, and vision changes.

He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and takes a comprehensive approach to complex neurological problems, combining surgical expertise with conservative management where appropriate.
