Dr. Mostafa Azab

Dr. Mostafa Azab is a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at Burjeel Hospital for Advanced Surgery in Dubai, specializing in shoulder and upper limb conditions. With more than 25 years of clinical experience, he combines advanced surgical skill with a focus on restoring mobility and function. He graduated with honors from Cairo University School of Medicine in 1997 and completed residency training at Cairo University Hospitals, one of the Middle East's largest trauma centers. In 2003, he completed a fellowship in shoulder arthroscopy in Bonn, Germany, followed by a PhD in 2006 with specialization in shoulder surgery. He served as Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology at Cairo University and worked in Saudi Arabia before joining Burjeel.

Dr. Azab manages the full range of shoulder and upper limb conditions: arthroscopic and open shoulder surgery, shoulder dislocations, rotator cuff tears, biceps tendon problems, shoulder fractures, and shoulder joint replacements (anatomical and reverse). He also treats hand injuries, elbow and forearm fractures, and sports-related upper limb trauma. He has performed more than 2,900 surgeries for shoulder and upper limb issues, including trauma, sports injuries, and degenerative diseases.
