Dr. Mustafa Jamal Ahmed

Dr Mustafa Jamal Ahmed is a consultant nephrologist with 15 years of active practice in the United Arab Emirates. He trained in the UK at Kings College London, where he completed his medical degree at the Aldwych campus and an integrated BSc in pharmacology at the Kensington campus. After training posts including house officer and senior house officer roles in the renal unit under Prof Bruce Hendry, he completed specialist registrar training at Kings College Hospital London and achieved his CCST qualification.

Dr Ahmed has made significant contributions to kidney medicine in the UAE, performing pioneering procedures including the first live-related kidney transplant at the military hospital, the first ABO-incompatible transplant in the country, and the first paediatric transplant in the Federal Ministry of Health. He continues to maintain strong clinical links with Kings College renal unit and the transplant centres at Guy's, King's and St Thomas's in London.

He specialises in diabetic kidney disease and has broad expertise in glomerulonephritis and chronic kidney disease management across all stages. Dr Ahmed established the first freestanding private dialysis unit in Dubai Healthcare City and provides outpatient nephrology clinics across the Emirates.
