Dr. Paul Aoun

Dr. Paul Aoun is an Endocrinology Consultant with over 15 years of medical experience. He completed his medical degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and went on to complete an internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins University/Sinai Hospital Program, where he was appointed Chief Resident. He then pursued specialized training in Endocrinology & Diabetes at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Aoun also holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in neuro-endocrinology and has conducted research across multiple areas of endocrinology.

Dr. Aoun has extensive experience managing diabetes care and prevention, thyroid conditions including nodules and cancer, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and calcium-related conditions including osteoporosis. He has published research on these topics and presented his work at scientific meetings. He practiced as a clinical endocrinologist in South Florida before relocating to Dubai in 2018, where he now leads the Endocrinology and Diabetes Center at American Hospital.

Dr. Aoun is an active member of the Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and previously served as an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. He was recognized as one of America's Best Doctors by the American Health Council in 2017. He is fluent in both Arabic and English.
