Dr. Mohammed-Shoaib Arshad

Dr. Mohammed-Shoaib Arshad is a Consultant Orthopedic Hand and Wrist Surgeon with 17 years of experience, now practising at HealthPoint in Abu Dhabi. He trained in the UK, earning his MBBS from the University of Manchester and completing specialist training in Trauma and Orthopedic Surgery through Health Education England North West. He holds a Master of Science in Hand Surgery from Manchester and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (FRCS Tr&Orth). Before moving to Abu Dhabi, he worked as a Consultant at NHS Oldham, Circle Health, and Ramsay Health Care in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Arshad treats the full spectrum of hand and wrist conditions, from arthritis and joint replacement to nerve compression and tendon injuries. He is skilled in procedures including thumb and finger joint replacements, wrist fusion and replacement, carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel decompression, De Quervain's release, Dupuytren's contracture correction, and ligament and tendon repair and reconstruction. He also manages fractures, ganglion cysts, repetitive strain injuries, and performs wrist arthroscopy (keyhole surgery). His approach combines specialist surgical technique with non-operative treatments such as splinting and injection therapy.

Dr. Arshad is an experienced educator, having served as FRCS Teaching Co-ordinator for the North-West Training Program and Specialty Training Education Lead, and as a Senior Honorary Associate Lecturer at Edge Hill University.
