Dr. Sonia Malik

Dr. Sonia Malik is a UK board-certified Consultant Family Medicine physician and Medical Director at Burjeel By The Beach Clinic on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi. With over 19 years of clinical experience, including 14 years as a Consultant Physician, she brings deep expertise in managing acute illnesses, preventing disease, and treating chronic conditions. Before moving to the UAE, she worked within the UK National Health Service across Manchester and Central London, and held teaching roles at Imperial College Medical School in London, where she trained junior doctors.

Dr. Malik's clinical focus spans women's health, mental health, obesity management, and skin conditions. She is particularly known for her approach to lifestyle medicine — using evidence-based changes in diet, exercise, and stress management to prevent and even reverse disease. In 2025, she became a certified lifestyle physician through the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine, joining the inaugural UAE cohort. She holds additional qualifications in dermatology (with distinction from Cardiff University) and women's health, and is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
