Dr. Karthick Jayapal

Dr Karthick Jayapal is a paediatric emergency medicine specialist with over 12 years of experience in managing critically ill and injured children. He trained in India, completing his MBBS in 2009 and MD in Paediatrics in 2013, followed by fellowships in paediatric emergency medicine and trauma care. He later earned a PhD in paediatric emergency medicine from North America in 2020. He spent 8 years working at Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and served as Registrar of the Paediatric Department at a medical college and research institute in India before joining NMC Healthcare in Dubai.

Dr Jayapal specializes in the rapid assessment and stabilization of children in acute distress. He manages respiratory emergencies, seizures, trauma, infections, allergic reactions, and toxic ingestions, with particular expertise in paediatric resuscitation, cardiac and neurological emergencies, poisonings, procedural sedation, and pain management. He is known for a calm, child-centered approach and collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective care for young patients in crisis.
