Dr. Ronney Shantouf

Dr. Ronney Shantouf is a Staff Physician at the Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, where he directs the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and co-directs both the Complex Coronary Program and the Invasive Coronary Spasm and Microvascular Dysfunction Program. With 19 years of experience, he has performed thousands of cardiac catheterizations and is board certified in Internal Medicine, General Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology. Before moving to Abu Dhabi, he was an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine and directed the catheterization lab at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Dr. Shantouf specializes in advanced coronary interventions for complex and high-risk cases. His expertise includes left main interventions, bifurcation stenting, coronary atherectomy using laser and rotablation techniques, chronic total occlusion procedures, mechanical support device placement, minimally invasive radial access catheterization, and detailed imaging of coronary arteries. He also runs the Cardiac Wellness Program and focuses on lipid management and prevention strategies.

He believes that comprehensive cardiovascular care combines both one-on-one patient treatment and community education.
