Dr. Kapil Sunderkant Kulkarni

Dr. Kapil Kulkarni is a consultant psychiatrist with 14 years of experience across the UK, Maldives, and India. He trained in Essex, England under the East of England Deanery and holds membership with the Royal College of Psychiatrists (London). He completed his specialist training in general adult psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, and old-age psychiatry, gaining his Certificate of Completion of Training in 2024. His broad cross-cultural background—working with diverse socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, and cultural communities—informs his patient-centred approach.

Dr. Kulkarni treats a wide range of adult mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, panic disorder, sleep problems, post-traumatic stress disorder, mood disorders, psychosis and schizophrenia, addiction (alcohol, smoking, drugs), and memory problems including dementia. He has special expertise in adult ADHD, having completed specialist training through the UK Adult ADHD Network, and in advanced brain-stimulation therapies such as repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), for which he completed the London TMS Course. He also has extensive experience in memory services and provides counselling and psychotherapy.
