Dr. Nishanth Sanalkumar

Dr. Nishanth Sanalkumar is an American Board-certified endocrinologist with over 20 years of international experience. He trained at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, completed his internal medicine residency at Westchester Medical Center in New York, and finished his endocrinology fellowship at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He holds dual American Board certifications in Internal Medicine and in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, and is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology.

Since 2009, Dr. Nishanth has practiced in the UAE. At NMC Royal Hospital in Sharjah, where he served as Consultant and Head of Endocrinology, he led the development of evidence-based diabetes management guidelines and chaired the Endocrine Multidisciplinary Tumor Board. His expertise spans comprehensive diabetes care with insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring, thyroid disorders including cancer management, growth and pubertal disorders in children and adolescents, and complex hormonal conditions affecting the pituitary, adrenal glands, and bones.

Dr. Nishanth is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the College of Medicine, University of Sharjah, and a regular speaker at international conferences. During his fellowship, he received a research grant from the Endocrine Fellows Foundation for his contributions to clinical research.
