Dr. Carla Abou Fadel

Dr Carla Abou Fadel is a Lebanese-trained Consultant Gastroenterologist with extensive experience in general gastroenterology and hepatology. She completed her medical degree and internal medicine training at the American University of Beirut, followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at the same institution. She then pursued specialist training in inflammatory bowel diseases in Paris, France, earning diplomas from both Université Pierre et Marie Curie and Hôpital Saint-Louis. She has worked as a gastroenterologist at leading hospitals across Lebanon before relocating to the UAE.

Dr Abou Fadel specialises in conditions affecting the digestive system, including irritable bowel syndrome, gastric reflux (GERD), haemorrhoids, and inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. She performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures—both gastroscopy (examining the stomach and upper digestive tract) and colonoscopy (examining the colon)—which allow her to diagnose and treat problems without major surgery. She is also trained in colon cancer prevention and screening.
